Attracting Investment by Cutting Red Tape for Businesses

President Trump’s tariffs are threatening Ontario workers, businesses and our economy. We’re fighting back by making Ontario more competitive and lowering the cost of doing business.

We’re making Ontario the most competitive place in the G7 to invest, build and create good-paying jobs.

Cutting red tape means lower costs and faster approvals, making it easier for businesses to invest, expand and create jobs right here in Ontario.

Since 2018, our government has removed more than 14,000 regulatory compliance requirements, giving Ontario the lowest regulatory burden per capita in Canada.

Our red tape reductions are saving people and businesses more than $1.3 billion and 1.8 million hours every year.

We are leading a review 350 economic development-related permits with the goal to eliminate or transform 35 percent of them by 2028

By lowering costs and removing barriers to investment, we’re protecting Ontario jobs, attracting new investment and building a more competitive, resilient and self-reliant economy.
