Our government is lowering the cost to build homes, getting shovels in the ground and protecting good-paying jobs for Ontario workers.
In March, Ontario and Canada signed the historic Canada-Ontario Partnership to Build, committing up to $8.8 billion over 10 years for housing-enabling infrastructure to support growth and keep workers on the job.
The partnership also supports removing the full HST on eligible new homes from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027, saving homebuyers up to $130,000 while helping builders move projects forward.
A report by BILD and the OHBA found that home sales rose 130% year over year in the second quarter of 2026.
