Free Training for Auto Workers

Across Ontario, 300,000 jobs continue to go unfilled every day, including many in the auto sector, costing the province billions in lost productivity.

That is why our government is investing more than $4.7 million to support two innovative projects designed to help 360 people land good-paying jobs in Ontario’s thriving automotive manufacturing sector.

These projects will provide participants with the necessary skills to prepare for rewarding careers in machine operation, assembly, quality control, and logistics.

Participants will have the chance to transition into full-time employment after completing the training and a three-month-long paid work placement with an Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association (APMA) employer.

Automotive Industries Association of Canada (AIA) Training will be offered at Conestoga College (Guelph Campus), Fanshawe College (London Campus) and St. Lawrence College (Cornwall Campus).
