For generations, Royal Canadian Legion branches have long been at the heart of communities across Ontario, providing vital support to veterans and their families.
Our government extends its heartfelt congratulations to the Royal Canadian Legion as it marks 100 years of service, remembrance and leadership.
With nearly 150,000 veterans calling Ontario home, we have a responsibility to ensure they are supported, respected and given space to thrive in their communities.
Our government continues to support Veterans through numerous initiatives, including recent enhancements to The Soldiers’ Aid Commission Act making it easier for eligible Veterans to apply, increase the amount of financial assistance they may receive and require the Commissioners to promote awareness of the financial assistance SAC can provide.
We are proud to work alongside the Royal Canadian Legion by reducing costs and supporting initiatives that help branches continue delivering the programs and services that matter most to veterans and their families.
