As part of our plan to connect everyone in Ontario to primary care close to home, our government is investing $55.8 million to support the planning and operations of the new York University School of Medicine.
We’re creating more opportunity for Ontario students to pursue rewarding health-care careers here at home while supporting our government’s commitment to that everyone who wants to have a primary care provider can access one.
Once fully operational, the medical school will support 240 undergraduate seats and 293 postgraduate seats each year, strengthening the province’s pipeline of highly skilled physicians.
