Ontario Launches New Tool to Ensure Bail Compliance
Getting repeat and violent offenders off our streets is a critical focus for our government.
That’s why we are proud to announce the new Bail Compliance Dashboard that is being rolled out to police services across the province, with five services already onboard.
The Provincial Bail Compliance Dashboard will allow police services to monitor, consolidate and share information on individuals on bail for firearms-related offences, including offender release addresses. The dashboard sends a clear message: crime and non-compliance will not be tolerated.
This tool is being managed by the OPP and available to all municipal and First Nations police services.
In October 2024, our government called on the federal government to step up and amend the Criminal Code, and we continue to call for meaningful bail reform.
