In the face of President Trump’s tariffs and tariff threats, our government has a plan to protect local jobs and build a stronger, more resilient Ontario economy.
We have put forward $30 billion in tariff relief, supports and measures.
That includes the $40 million Trade Impacted Communities Program which supports communities making investments to strengthen economic resilience, diversify supply chains, and foster new trade partnerships.
It also includes the $150 million Ontario Together Trade Fund, which helps companies make investments to build capacity, diversify their export markets, and re-shore critical supply chains to Ontario.
To date, the Ontario Together Trade Fund has helped to support 89 companies who have invested nearly $1 billion, protecting and creating more than 10,000 jobs across the province.
With U.S. tariffs and global economic uncertainty continuing to impact workers and businesses, the government remains focused on lowering taxes, cutting red tape and making the strategic investments necessary to build the most self-reliant and competitive economy in the G7.
