Through the Canada-Ontario Workforce Tariff Response, more than $228 million is helping up to 27,000 workers retrain, upgrade their skills and stay competitive over the next three years.
Through Skills Advance Ontario, nearly $27 million is already supporting 13 projects and almost 2,000 workers, helping people build new skills and supporting employers in tariff-impacted industries.
In communities already impacted by U.S. tariffs, we’ve invested more than $8 million in 10 POWER Centres supporting over 24,000 workers, bringing rapid employment and wraparound supports to affected workers and families.
Ontario is fighting tariffs by investing in our workers and our economy. We’ve put forward $30 billion in tariff relief and supports, invested $2.5 billion through the Skills Development Fund and are delivering our $236 billion infrastructure plan to keep people working, strengthen Canadian industries and build a more self-reliant economy.
