Now more than ever, Canada needs to stand together to create prosperity that is insulated from the unjustified desires of any foreign nation.
Ontario’s $30 billion tariff relief and support plan is designed to build long term resiliency and prosperity. This includes the $150 million Ontario Together Trade Fund, the $40 million Trade-Impacted Communities Program, the $1 billion Protect Ontario Financing Program and the Ontario Made Manufacturing Investment Tax Credit.
By expanding eligibility of the $1 billion Protect Ontario Financing Program (POFP), we are helping tariff-impacted businesses navigate challenges, such as payroll, lease payments, and utility payments.
In addition to these measures, our government encourages business to continue utilizing longstanding economic development programs such as the Southwestern Ontario Development Fund (SWODF), Eastern Ontario Development Fund (EODF), and Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Competitiveness Stream (AMIC) of the Regional Development Program.
In the face of this uncertainty, we will continue to lower taxes, cut red tape and attract historic investments, delivering on our government’s plan to build the most competitive and resilient economy in the G7
